ALL THE GAMES are very good, with THE explanation, AND easy to use
Mondo Solitaire is a great way to pass the time while standing in line ... a million and one different variations, easy to read cards (even on the small iPhone screen, which is impressive). A must-have for every iphone/ipod touch owner.
The most popular solitaire game so far is Platinum Solitaire, and Ive played it on my friends iPhone, and in my opinion, Mondo is way better. There are a lot more games to choose from in Mondo, with a lot more options, not to mention it looks much nicer :)
The only thing keeping it from my fifth star is the slowness of the interface; especially when playing games with more than four suites. If they fix this in an update, I will be very happy; though its not bad enough to ever prevent me from playing it.
Fantastic game!
Its a pretty good solitaire compilation. It has nicely done graphics, the cards and backgrounds are simple and clean. I dont know if it has been changed recently but you are able to change the card deck so the numbers arent as hard to read as some have previously said. Also I like the addition of the searching mechanism so you can choose if you want an easy or hard game or a quick or long game to play.
Its biggest faults are a slow interface, somewhat tricky touch movements (which I think I will get the hang of), and the fact that it always freezes when I change the deck (although I probably wont change it anymore cause the other decks are harder to read).
Review of version 1.0.3
many versions of Solitaire included in the package.
Version 1.0.3 did fix several bugs with selecting groups of cards, and improved how smooth the animation is. (There are still a couple of areas where the animations are choppy, but generally good overall now)
It keeps everything as it was when you exited, and does not take too long to load back in if you have to exit out to do other things.
overall a good package for Solitaire addicts.
With that many modes and some great features, this game is awesome; no competition is out there.
Some bad moments
Great features, but numbers on cards are so small makes the game pretty much unplayable. Dont buy this game before they make some graphic update, or you will waste $9.99 on a game you cant play for more than 2 minutes at a time cuz it will kill your eyes!
Bought this game, the game play is so slow its painful, the cards are too small to see and the interface is far from intuitive..... stay away.......
I originally got this game for the huge selection of games to play. However, I should have selected a program with fewer selections and hopefully fewer bugs.
I have so far been unable to complete a game of Freecell because cards are missing from the deck. After playing for while you notice that the 2 of clubs is not to be seen anywhere. No matter how many games are avialable they are no good if cards are missing.
On top of that the card bug the dragging of the cards has a lag when you drop them on rows. I beleive this lag is due to the stupid line it draws when you hit a valid row. This lag really bothers me for some reason.
I would recommend a different game instead of this one.
Mondo Solitaire used to be the *best* solitaire games available for iOS. Period. But it does not function on iOS 8.1, which came as a shock when I upgraded to an iPhone 6. This is a very sad day, indeed.
I play Mondo on my iPad all the time, with no problems. But on my iPhone 6, it freezes up constantly. Do not buy unless you have an older iOS. Very disappointing, as I do enjoy the variety of solitaire with mondo.
Loved this app til it stopped responding to any touch on my screen. Very frustrating- DONT BUY.
